This machine correctly orientates round bottles that have an orientation ramp or detent for downstream processes such as motif inspection, labelling or packaging.

An indexing Starwheel contains the bottles whilst reciprocating belts rotate it until the detent is mechanically arrested. 

Once the bottles have been orientated the belts withdraw and the Starwheel indexes one position, releasing the orientated bottle and presenting the next bottle for orienatation
