Sleeve Lubricator

This unit coats round glass bottles with a lubricant after they have been sleeved to replace the properties of the cold-end coating. The unit consists of a double stacked Linatex belt unit on one side of the conveyor, mounted opposite a large ‘open cell’ sponge. 

A stainless steel manifold is inserted into the sponge ensuring that it is impregnated with lubricant at all times. As the round glass bottles contact’s the Linatex belts they cause it to rotate against the ‘open cell’ sponge. 

Due to the length of the unit the bottles emerge  completely coated in the lubricant. The main benefits of this method over spraying are that the inside of the containers do not become contaminated with lubricant.
